Oshima

Our Oshima wall paneling is a gesture to the traditional Japanese shou sugi ban finishing technique.  Charring the surface of the boards creates a material that is resistant to fire, rot, and insects while simultaneously resulting in a beautiful texture and color.  Oshima features raised grain and lots of surface “crackling”.  This product is more uniform in color than it’s Taro counterpart and has more crackle than it’s Azuma counterpart.
